Axiom Industries is a unique product manufacturer in the hydronic industry. The company is located in a very dramatic heating climate in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada. As a result, they were the first to recognize and fulfill the accessory requirements of the ‘new age’ hydronic systems.

Solution Feeders & Pressurizers

Axiom produces a full line of solution feeders for the smallest residential system to the largest commercial system. These solution feeders are designed to keep a closed loop hydronic system charged to a minimum fill pressure. By adding glycol or any other additive to the reservoir of the feeder, when makeup is required, the system can be maintained at a consistent strength of glycol or whatever additive is desired. Systems can be selected based on either operating pressure required or volume of makeup desired for any given application.

Axiom feeder and pressurizer systems keep a system charged to the minimum fill pressure acceptable to the system based on height of the building and desired pressure charge at the top of the piping system. It allows automatic vents in the system to function properly, and still keep the system from going below the desired minimum fill pressure. The units are normally employed on space heating systems, outdoor boiler/water heating applications, and closed loop cooling tower circuits. The increasing popularity of low temp systems such as radiant space heating or hydronic snowmelt absolutely requires maintaining the proper glycol, nitrite, or molybdate chemical makeup.

Just as important, these units isolate the closed system from the standard potable water make up line. This is often mandated by code when a toxic chemical is added to a system. The purpose is to avoid any possibility that any chemicals could be back fed into the potable water system. However there are other benefits to both the owner and their maintenance organization. In the unlikely event of a leak from a freeze up or material failure, the only amount of water that could leak out is the amount in the reservoir of the system feeder, minimizing damage. As all the reservoirs are translucent in color, monitoring the level of liquid allows an easy and visual leak detection system for operators. And by keeping the system properly charged, it avoids nuisance service calls due to air binding in hydronic circuits or loops. A very popular application is when glycol is used in either radiant or snowmelt systems; it keeps the system charged to the right percentage of glycol and water automatically to keep the system operational.

The standard green top feeders are designed for hydronic systems, with temperatures expected up to 220F. For solar systems, the yellow top feeders are constructed for use with system temps up to 280F. All units feature a set of dry contacts that can be monitored for low level of makeup liquid. As an accessory item, a separate alarm panel that wires directly to the feeder is available. This panel features an audible alarm as well as contacts for a tie in for a Building Automation System if desired.

Adding an Axiom Feeder to any hydronic system will reduce maintenance, provide the ultimate in back feed protection, and insure the system is tight and ready to function.

PEX Pal Organizers

Are an innovative organizers for PEX or Pex-Al-Pex tubing for where it passes in or out of a concrete or gypcrete mass. PEX Pal’s uinique cubicle construction allows the tubing to be fed through withloop supply and returns grouped together during installation. The spacing of the pipe ends matches thespacing between connections on most popular manifold systems. The result is self alignment of all piping out of the slab, and allows a very clean and neat transition to the manifold system.
