PEX Tubing
ComfortPro is the only major manufacturer on the market that produces three types of PEX tubing. PEX-A is the tubing made by the Engel Process. This is one method of chemically cross-linking the tubing molecular structure. PEX-C is also manufactured through the Electron Beam method of cross-linking. Both PEX-A and PEX-C are intended for radiant and high temperature hydronic systems. ComfortPro UV-PEX is manufactured specifically for snow melting systems with glycol inhibitors.

To avoid oxidation problems in a radiant terminal system, the system should be chemically balanced with an Inhibitor. In the absence of a strong maintenance mandate, radiant system tubing often has an Oxygen Diffusion Barrier applied on the exterior of the tubing. This layer stops any concerns of oxygen osmosis ‘into’ the system.

100% of the ComfortPro PEX tubing sold for space heating applications has the additional advantage of an Oxygen Diffusion Barrier. This outer layer is applied to the tubing after cross-linking to avoid oxygen osmosis into the tubing in ‘wet’ system.

As a sign of quality recognition, all ComfortPro tubing is ASTM and DIN stamped and certified. This high level of testing is the consumer’s assurance that the tubing has been produced to an extremely tight tolerance in content, cross-linking, and consistency. Only the highest level products carry these credentials.

Twist Seal Manifold
ComfortPro advanced the industry three years ago with the introduction of the Twist Seal Modular Manifold system. With different size components, this superior distribution manifold is used in space heating, snow melting, and plumbing distribution applications. The Twist Seal system consists of an assembly kit and the appropriate number of circuit ‘modules’ as needed for the system.

Snow Melting Applications
ComfortPro is also the only manufacturer on the market with a UV-PEX tubing, specifically for snow melting applications. Ultra violet (UV) protection is built into the tubing by adding color and carbon to the tubing. Snow melting applications are being driven by convenience, liability, and safety. Almost any type of commercial will benefit greatly with automatic snow melting installation. Sidewalks, driveways, ramps, handicapped entrances, and high volume entrances are key areas for snow melting applications. Add-ons to existing hydronic heating systems are a very popular today. Snow melting tubing and manifold systems must be installed before the actual pour of the area. Tubing can be tie wrapped to webbing or re-bar steel to be secured. Or ComfortPro Tracking can be used to secure the tubing directly to the insulation below the concrete slab. In either case, system water temperatures must be controlled closely to bring the snow melting system up at limited temperature differentials. Warrantee
After the experiences of 1940’s and 50’s hydronic radiant systems, Americans have questioned the longevity expectations of the ‘modern’ radiant terminal materials. ComfortPro has a 25 Year Warrantee for the protection of the owner/user. The replacement of the product is guaranteed for that time period, as common with most major suppliers. The life expectancy of the tubing is well over 50 years at maximum operating conditions.

In addition however is a Special First Ten-Year Warrantee. This exclusive warrantee provides not only for replacement material, but includes a $5 Million Dollar Insurance policy for all consequential damage in addition.
